Fighting off this Sickness!!!

I gotta tell yall, there is some nasty stuff that has been going around! A friend of mine said he's in his 3rd round of antibiotics and steroids! My friend that works at a local clinic said the lines are out the doors! Luckily, our household has been fighting off most of the illnesses. I say most because there are days we have felt "not quite right". Case in point: Wednesday evening was one of those nights. I even took a nap. The only real symptom I can pinpoint was a minor headache, some brain fog, and some fatigue. But who doesn't have that 90% of the time? Thursday, basically the same. Little brain fog and I couldn't concentrate on anything. Friday I woke up and couldn't talk. Throat hurt, drainage, cough. Oh great! Immediately I run for my go-to concoction: green tea, a tap of honey, and a drop each of Thieves, Lemon, and Copaiba.

But crud! I'm out of Copaiba. Ok, no sweat, I'll be fine. It's on it's way, just have to get through Til Fedex comes on Saturday. Just to be safe, I added our pre-oils favorite regimen of 1 Emergen-C packet and 1 Airborne packet to about 3oz water. Honestly, at this point, I'm considering just about anything that will keep this sickness from coming to full fruition. Everything I've heard are nightmares and the last thing I need are 2 sick kids in this house! So, that's what I did yesterday. I drank enough green tea with Thieves and Lemon for an army. I even went to lunch at our favorite Asian restaurant, Rawz, and my waiter offered some green tea with ginger. I totally took him up on that!

Another thing that I do to help out with this cruddy feeling is to diffuse some RC. I don't actually know what RC stands for, but my friend swears it's "respiratory comfort"! And I think there is a pretty good chance he is right! While I was refilling bottles, I also opened up Lavender which I haven't used in awhile!!! It smelled soooooo good to me! So I decided to mix a bit of that in with the RC. I figure a little calming and relaxing would do me some good anyway!

Today I'm feeling much better! I can actually talk today, but I still have a bit of a cough holding on. My throat doesn't hurt anymore (despite the fact that I spent half of my night outside boiling crawfish!) and I think I may even mow my grass today! Although, I may hold off on that until my Copaiba gets here! Hurry up Fedex man!

Update: Ok, so the Fedex man got here Saturday and today my throat is feeling a TON better! I still have a "croaky" voice and a bit of a dry cough, but it is soooo much better! I'm thinking another day or two of this and I'll be totally out of the woods! what a relief!
