WOW!!! Is your January as Crazy as Mine???

I knew things were going to pick up for me at the beginning of this year, but WOW!!! I haven't slowed down since heading back to work on the 4th!

I have a lot of irons in the fire right now between going back to school, working full time, single motherhood, and building my Young Living business. It seems like it will never end!

That's why I'm super excited! I spent a few extra bucks on my planner this year and got one that really does it all! I am able to set my goals for the month at the beginning of the month, and for each week and even down to the day! It has verticle days with times, so I can schedule in time for my homework, kid work, work work, and play time! (YES!!! I ABSOLUTELY schedule play time!) Then, I can even color in my scheduled tasks with highlighters to be sure I'm balancing my time as evenly as possible. Of course, some days, it just really isn't possible, but overall, I want to make sure I'm giving enough attention to all of the things going on in my life.

Another thing I do when scheduling in my calender is to make sure I leave spare 1/2 hours in between some tasks. It's important to take breaks during the day and reorganize my thoughts, and sometimes there is a last minute something that comes up. If I have all of my time scheduled, I leave wiggle room, and something will always get missed.

I know one thing! Planning out my days sure does help me see where I'm wasting time! Especially with Facebook scrolling! I'm so bad about doing that when my brain feels overloaded! And while I do love Facebook, and I think it has it's place, sometimes it can really just butt in too much! My planner gives me something else to "scroll mindlessly" over that is more productive and keeps me on track.

This may not have been my most exciting blog, but it is still so important! Planning your time with intentionality is how you get things done and make progress on your goals! If you're not using your planner, you're leaving everything up to fate! And that can be a dangerous approach to life. I don't know about you, but I prefer to plan for things rather than to spend my time cleaning up the aftermath or running around overwhelmed, trying to catch up on all of the things "I should have been doing" or "didn't even think about" or "forgot all about".

What about you? Please feel free to leave me some comments about how you plan your days and what you use that is helpful. I'm always open to new suggestions!!!

And FYI, if you click on my pic with the planner, you'll be directed to Amazon, should you be interested in this particular planner. There are a ton of planners out there, but I highly recommend adding one to your arsenal with a goal planner in it!
